Best app to manage your Jio account and track your data usage
My Jio is an exclusive app from Reliance Jio digital service for its jio users where one can do tasks like keeping track on their usage to managing and recharging their Jio account. My Jio app had gone through many updates after its release, in the latest update for android the version 3.2.42 has nothing much to offer other than fixing some bug issues for the previous version.
What can it do?
With no doubt, Jio is a game changer in the telecom market and My Jio app reflects all the aspects of Jio’s vision of digital India. Now the users can recharge and manage their account within the comfort of their living room using their smart phone without the need of running to the physical store like old fashioned way. You can do the payment by the means of digital banking options like a debit card, credit card, online banking, paytm or if you are a die-heart fan of jio you can always use JioMoney wallet.

You can use this application to check data balance in your current jio plan. This app also shows your existing SMS and Voice balance.
The app also provides the details about your current plan, data and SMS balance, call logs, data usage etc. With this feature on my jio app, jio has skipped the old school USSD techniques which are still available on other networks with similar apps which provide the same information, so you have to open the app every time if you want to check your data balance.
You can always login to your jio account with ease if you are using a jio sim. However, if you are on a different network or Wi-Fi you need to log-in with your jio ID or OTP option.

As the icon shows when you click on the icon you’ll end up on a page where it shows all the jio apps installed on your phone instead of opening My Jio right away. That’s definitely a thumb down for me. If you like to access all your jio apps from one place you’d like this option. Inside the things you need are well arranged and you will find the recharge button at multiple instances in case if you forget why you opened the app, good move jio.
You have your plan details on the first page and you can switch to your balance details with a click. With the skyblue and white theme, the icon showing the data balance is really eye catching. on the top, you can see which account are currently in and you can always switch between them. On the left top, you have menu button where you have options like My vouchers, My plans, Recharge, My statement, Finding a store or a hotspot and My account options.If you want to browse through plans or vouchers they have sorted it in the increasing order of the plan price with the plan details. Totally, the app looks good and work smoothly even on a budget device.
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
More is always good! You can add multiple jio accounts to your device and you can manage all of them from a single my jio app by switching between them with a click. With this, you can recharge for your family and friends or you can ask them a favor for recharging your account, isn’t that a good thing?

Performance (8/10)
The app works smoothly between the multitasking without any issues.The only problem I could find is at the end of the day when the usage of the ends and next day cycle begins the app does not show any details on data balance or usage for a short time. This problem only concerns if you want to check it in the middle of the night. Otherwise, the app is a winner.
Things I didn’t like in My Jio App
The main things I didn’t like about the app is the permissions to access the sensitive data on the phone after the latest data leak of jio customers am really concerned about users privacy.
Verdict of My Jio App
Overall the app looks good and performs well in day to day use.It can provide you almost all services you need. For any using the jio network, i would say it’s a must app to manage your account.
